As funny as a screen door on a battleship.

Over the weekend Chris, my beautiful hasselblad Betty, and I headed up to Sayville, about two hours from New York City, to photograph one of the last civil war reenactments of the season. I’ve always wanted to shoot one of these and will totally gear up for Gettysburg next year if anyone is down to make the trip (10,000 strong!) .

The reenactment was kind of small, but it was VERY educational. Below are my favorites shot on the good old hassy. Keep film alive!

Denis of the 67th Infantry of New York, Mechanical Safety Inspector

Frank of the 67th Infantry of New York, Retired Verizon Engineer

Nothing says Civil War like Mr.Softee.

Anyone catch back to the future on tv over the weekend?

Oh. Sh*t.

  2. Greetings, I am the President of the 67th NY and one of the organizers of our September reenactment. Great photos! We would very much like to use one or two on our site. Of course we would give you proper credit and a link back to your site. Thanks again for visiting us!
